OOOHHH! That was SO good! It's funny because many times I think children are a verbal image of their parents. I don't think parents like to see that, but I notice it all the time. My kids are great at saying please and thank you *pat on my back* I say those things all the time, even to hubby. My kids are also great and yelling "Sit down, now!" in a pretty ugly voice. That makes me cringe because I know exactly who they sound like! LOL It's just amazing how they grow and learn and mimic. I've said that to them about God before too. I love the curious look in their eyes as they wonder, "What's God going to do with me? Who am I going to be?" I think it's important for them to have an awareness of Jesus and his role in our lives, even at their young ages. Really great post! I'm going to be e-mailing this link to some of my friends. :-)
So much more is caught than taught. They see us and we model Jesus to them. It is so easy to get flustered with all we need to do and be impatient and demanding. The importance of speaking blessing of over our children is SO important and that tradition has been lost since Bible days. Thansk for this exhortatin. Always needed. And I love your T-shirt! So important too to respect and honor our hubbies!
I feel like this is the only thing I haven't tried this month with my 6. He's trying every bit of my patience. I'll let you know if I see a new kid in him with some encouragement.
So great and something I want to say to my little man.. especially with all the stuff that has been going on with his behavior lately because the truth is "I can't wait to see what God is going to go in him!!"
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with me! I will be responding to all comments left here. Please check back so we can continue the conversation.
