Pharmacy Notes

Working in the pharmacy has afforded me the opportunity to learn a lot about human interaction. About how to treat people kindly even when they aren't being kind. How to encourage a person by simply smiling and using their first name.

But that isn't all.

Here's some advice I'm sure everyone can use at some time in their lives:

*If you're going away on vacation, or
*If you're leaving the country for two months
DON'T wait to go to the pharmacy - where you expect to pick up your extra supply of prescriptions (for which you need to make PRIOR arrangements with your insurance company) - until the night before you're leaving.
It might not be ready.

I'm just sayin'.

    And then don't call your clinic to frantically get them to fix it because you didn't think about it yourself.

    Ummm, yes. As the pharmacist who has to endure at least 15 minutes on the telephone with someone in India representing said insurance company who may or may not eventually give permission for a vacation supply of medication, I totally agree.

    Gianna - That's the other part of the problem. Most of these individuals also come after their doctor's office is CLOSED! *sigh*
    Line up those speaking engagements, dear. I have a feeling we could get Leah to join us, too!
