1. Don't wait until the last minute.
2. Don't misplace your W-2. 3. If you do misplace your W-2, call your manager to get a new copy. 4. If you do #2 without doing #1, since #3 is going to take a while, file for an extension. 5. Don't expect your parents to do #4 for you, if you have not heeded their advice regarding #1. 6. When tax season rolls around again next year, refer to #1. *And by "we" I mean my son(s).
