Getting Ready for Granny

Just three more days!

My grandmother is moving in on Monday, and we've been busy around here getting ready.
Monday at lunch time, this is what the bathroom looked like.
And as of Friday morning, this is its condition. My plan today is to finish the painting.
And, yes, that is a cross on the wall. I was getting excess paint out of the paint brush. *grin*
Annnnd, here's Grandma's room. Ignore the bathroom re-model supplies all over the place.
Just notice the fresh paint on the walls.
And no more "poop"!

Today - in addition to me finishing that painting in the bathroom - we're having the carpets cleaned, and I WILL put away all the re-modeling supplies. Sunday I'll be at Grandma's helping with some final arrangements. And THEN, we ought to be ready to bring her home!
I am so looking forward to having her here.

Wow, the bathroom looks amazing! Did you and your husband do all of the remodeling? If so, you are hired when we finally buy a house and need some work done...ha ha. :) Good Job.

Mommy - Ha ha! No. We hired the big stuff to be done. I just did the prep work and painting. Oh, and clean up. Lots of clean up! ;)

darn, I was hoping you were going to say you and your husband were this cute couple re-modeling team! ha ha. Well, prepping, painting and clean up is still a lot of work! ((hugs))

Sara - Thanks. :) Tune in tomorrow! ;)

Mommy - Oh, we are a cute couple. Adorable, actually.
And we're quite a team.
We re-surface ceilings; hang, mud, and sand drywall; restore painted oak to its original beauty...But we've never hung tile before and simply did NOT have enough time to re-do this bathroom.
Maybe next time. *wink*
