This Week's WORD

We wait in hope for the LORD;
he is our help and our shield.
In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD,
even as we put our hope in you.
Psalm 33:20-22

I don't know about you, but I am concerned for the future of our nation. I try not to get caught up in despair and worry, but sometimes that's hard. So when God led me to Psalm 33 this week, it felt like a kiss from the King. It was a reminder that He is in control and I need not fear.
I read the entire psalm a couple times and just spent time praying for our nation. And I am inviting you to do the same!

May the Lord fill you with hope this weekend. See you back here Monday for the final Golf Lesson For Life!

Some days the fact that the Lord is still in control and that we know that He wins in the end is the only thing that really gives me any hope as our nation spirals downward.

Looking forward to our last golf lesson. Have a great weekend.

I love it when God's Spirit and Word pours out on me in a moment of angst and concern...as he did the other day for me as well. Hugs!

You put it so simply, "God is in control."

That statement is true, but simple. We tend to make things harder than they really are.

I have been so politically involved since our tax day tea party that I finally had to turn it all off. The events are happening at record breaking speed and the fight was wearing me out.

God gave me assurance also that He is still in control. Not that He won't let this nation fall, but that if it does, He will care for His people just like He cared for the Israelites when He gave them into the hands of Babylon.

I agree with what you said on my blog. I would like to see Uncle Sam do a lot of things the way Jesus did.

Enjoy your Sunday!
