As I watched Mindy scramble to eat up the cereal Joshua spilled on the floor, it occurred to me: If everyone in the family was as quick to clean up messes as our dog is - keeping our home neat would be so much easier!
*****Update on Allie: She's out of surgery, and Dr.s say it went well. Thank You, Jesus!

So cute and...so true. :)
Praying with and for you and your family. Love you.
haa haaa haaa! :)
Thanks for the quick laugh this morning.
Thanks, Lisa. And I'm pryaing for you today, too. Did I ever tell you Wednesday is "your day"? *grin*
O Mom - Just doin' my part to keep our spirits light.
if every mess was edible, i think you could convince some others to be more like your puppy! :) I was up all night (at least it felt like it)with sick kids and I used some of that time to pray for Allie. And then, i used the rest of the time i was awake to pray for MY kids. And then, i might have snoozed off and on!
Praying here for Allie & her family!! GOD IS GOOD!!!
Also, thanks for the laugh this morning!
I know... our vacuum/dog helps my lack of housecleaning skills greatly!
I also wonder how much better we'd be if we were as hungry for God's Word and jump on every morsel like our dogs jump on leftovers. Oh, that I would be that hungry for His Word!
Gianna - You have a point there!
I'm glad you used your awake time for praying. And that you *might* have gotten a little sleep in there, too. That's always a good thing. *grin*
Patricia - Thanks for praying.
And I'm glad you laughed. *grin*
Merrie - Yeah, but what about the shedding hair. Mindy doesn't clean that up for me. LOL!
And I'm with you on the hunger for God's Word. I think we would ALL be better for it.
Praise you Lord for the work in the life of Allie and all that surround her...believing and knowing this is all for Your glory, Amen!
The news is wonderful! And since I don't have a dog, I'll take your word for it.
Nichole - Yes! For HIS glory.
Angie - You don't have a dog, eh? For a very long time I didn't think we would have a dog, either. And I was the one who was against the whole idea. Funny how God can even change our hearts in that regard!
Sometimes I need for my Tobi to be more like your Mindy. Tobi is the only dog I have ever run across that leaves crumbs and smells food before she takes it from your hand. There are actually times when I tell her to hurry up and take it if she wants it cause I have other things to do. LOL!
I'm so glad the surgery went well. I was praying for Allie first thing when I woke up today.
Oh LOL! amen. Our dog Molly lifts up the couch cushions every morning after she comes back inside licking up all the crumbs she finds! Isn't that so nice of her? So glad your daughter did well...I fell out of the loop on that one and only became aware by the time all was well. Sorry. But so glad to hear she is doing great!
Edie - Silly Tobi! Doesn't she know, Beggars can't be choosers? (I wish I had a dime for every time my mom quoted those words of wisdom to me as I was growing up. Oh, I'd be so rich!)
Thanks for praying for Allie.
Leslie - What a thoughtful helper you have there. *grin* Mindy isn't quite big enough to take care of the couch. Though if she was, I bet she would!
BTW, Allie is my friend's daughter, and I am thankful all is well, too.
This bit about the dog really struck me funny. After putting the four kids to bed tonight and picking the crumbs off the floor and re-shelving the picture books and putting the dirty clothes in the hamper... no one seems to be as worried about the messes as I am!
Kristin - I hear you on that one. So many times I have been tempted to not pick up messes, not wipe the counters, not fold the clothes - just to see how long it would take anyone to notice and pitch in. But I know I would go crazy before anything was taken care of. *sigh*
