I was searching the internet for hope. I've found it. In Christ.
Lord, thank you for reminding me that my tired, empty heart just needs a touch from you and that you are here with me, living in my heart, ready to fill me with your Spirit, your love, and your strength. I need You, Lord. I love to memorize Your word. It is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path. Please help me to hide this passage in my heart this week. Please use this new website I just found to encourage my weary soul and to encourage others. Thank you LORD Love, Heather
My search term was "burned out Mom". Will you please share the comment another anonymous burned out mom wrote and your response to her? I still want answers and ideas of how to survive these long hard days with little ones. I have no energy, nothing to give to a one year old and three year old as I stay at home with them 24/7. I haven't had a day (or night) off work in three years. I love God, I love my husband, I love my kids, I love my job as a stay at home mom but I'm burned out and I need help. Thank you, Heather
Heather - I'm so glad God led you to my blog! We need to know we aren't alone in our struggles. And the community of friends here in the blogosphere is a very good thing. I can fully relate to your 'nothing to give' feelings. That's a really hard place to be. Oh, how I wish there were simple answers to give you which would ease your struggles in a snap. But I haven't found them yet. I would, however, welcome you to sign up for the Irritable Mother's Survival Kit on my website.(wwww.irritablemother.com) It's full of some practical ideas which have really helped me in this mothering thing. Please feel free to email me if you want to talk more.
