Will You Pray?

"as He changes your heart."
That's what I was saying as the video ended. Accidentally stopped recording a bit too early, and I didn't want to go back to re-record the whole thing for that one phrase. *wink*

Oh, yeah. And "Happy Independence Day!" Just realized this will post on the Fourth of July!

Amen, Karen! Since my children were little, I have shared with them (and often reminded myself) that peoples' actions and temperaments are determined by what's going on in their lives. We don't know what's going on behind closed doors in their homes...we don't know what circumstances shaped them into the people they are today.

It is definitely a challenge to pray for those who hurt us. However, God's word instructs us to do just that. After watching your vlog, I went back and read the King James version of Matthew 5:43-47...

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

Powerful, right?! Your message ministered to me this day and did, indeed, challenge me, Karen! Thank you so much for sharing your heart with us.

Love you...

Beth - Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. It's true - we just don't know what's going on in another person's life.
I love the change God works in me when I start praying for someone else!
