so Karen, seriously, you are going to laugh, because I too have a little flower plant that needs some help. My kids just got it for me for Mom's day, and it is on my kitchen counter near the window, but it clearly isn't doing well. I'm going to put it outside right now, thanks for the reminder on spending time with God. hugs ***chera

Chera - Perhaps we should create the "Don't give us live plants" support group. *wink*
That's why I prefer outdoor plants - because God sends the rain and sunshine, and I just watch and enjoy.

Right on, Karen! You know, I haven't been doing this enough lately. I guess I am kinda wilted. I really like having my QT first thing in the morning, but I haven't been getting up lately. And due to squeaky, creaking hardwood floors (which wake up little boys too early!) I end up feeling trapped in my bedroom... which is OK, but being in the kitchen or on the patio would be so much more inspiring for my QTs! Well, I guess I gotta do what I gotta do!

Sara - When QTs weren't much of a reality for me, I loved stealing away for a minute or two whenever I could - to rest in God's arms. (Still do!)
I remember sitting on the bottom step in the basement, waiting for Elizabeth to call me into her bathroom so I could read to her while she took her shower. I was weary. Reached into my pocket to see what verse I had in there - The LORD your God is with you; he is mighty to save. He will quiet you with his love; he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17
I remember leaning against the wall praying, Yes, LORD. Please quiet me with Your love!
It was only a moment, but God met me there. And it was beautiful!
