Finished Genesis. Now I am in Exodus. God spoke to Moses through a burning bush, told him He wanted Moses to go tell Pharaoh that he was going to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, and Moses responded with:
"Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?"
And God said, "I will be with you..."
Exodus 3:11-12
Did you see that??? God didn't even answer Moses' question.
Moses asked, "Who am I?"
God said, "I will be with you."
In answering the way He did, I belive God was saying, Moses, it really doesn't matter who you are. What matters is that I am with you. And I AM.
Oh, do I ever need to hear this WORD! How often I ask, Who am I to be doing such and such? Who am I to be going here and there and saying this and that? Who am I???
But today God reminds me, who I am simply doesn't matter.
It's all about HIM!
May the wonder of knowing who I AM is, fill your soul this weekend. See you back here Monday!

love it. and so true.
Now those are two amazing words that I want definitely soaking into my heart!
Knowing I am not...but that God is!
It reminds me of a song...which for the life of me I can't recall exactly..but it sings about that it is not who I am but who You are and not what I have done but what You have done! If we can only get ourselves out of our own view point to see God, what power we would release in our lives!

Emma
HI I found your blog through Jessica's and I love your posts! Probably because I love 'I Am' too ;)
Wow, that is an interesting Word. God's so funny. LOL I think he knew the heart of Moses' question, you know? Well, okay, we all know God knew his heart. He's God. LOL
Thanks Karen!
