This Week's WORD

On the third day Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the palace, in front of the king's hall. The king was sitting on his royal throne in the hall, facing the entrance. When he saw Queen Esther standing in the court, he was pleased with her and held out to her the gold scepter that was in his hand. So Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter.
Esther 5: 1-2

Esther risked her life by approaching the king, uninvited. (Esther 4:11)
And as I sat thinking about how fearful she must have been - dressing in her finest robes, wondering, Will he extend the gold scepter to me? - I thought about the joy I have in knowing Jesus.
Because of the blood of Jesus which covers me, because He has given me a robe of righteousness to wear, because He has atoned for my sin through His death and resurrection, I am free to approach the KING. Anytime!

I have no royal robes.

I have nothing to offer God, no reason that He should accept my presence.

I deserve nothing but death.

But, because of JESUS.

Because of Jesus, I am accepted.
And if you have trusted Him for your salvation, YOU are accepted, too!

Let the wonder of God's love for you carry you through the weekend.
See you back here Monday!

It's incredible what she did! But like you, I am MOST thankful that we don't have to worry that way, we can just approach Him through Jesus and have access to Him ALL THE TIME! Yay God!

Have a great weekend!

Amen...and thanks for a very timely message.

You need to visit my blog on Thursday. I found a WONDERFUL speech written by an 11 year old girl with ADHD. It is about how she feels and hows she thinks. She really really nailed exactly what I would have liked to say, had I been able to find the words. It is called "Living with ADHD".

I know you struggle with your little ADHDers. I thought of you as soon as I saw the clip. I think she did such a good job of describing ADHD that I might put it in my sidebar...ok, I mean I might get Kelly or Edie to put it in my sidebar for me. lol

opps, Monkeys Are Funny.

I was going to just remind you on Thursday but I was afraid I was going to forget and I think you will really enjoy it.

Hugs to you, too, my friend!

Lisa - I am glad you stopped by, too. It is good to see you.
Hugs for you, too! *grin*

My ADHD Me - Thank you! I am putting it on my calendar for Thursday. Seriously. And thank you in advance for letting me know. There have been so many times recently when I have wanted to email you with 101 questions about how to live and love through this challenge.
Did I mention my other son has been diagnosed with ADD?
Yes. I am very much looking forward to your post Thursday!
I would say "hugs" to you as well but, as I recall, you aren't so fond of them...*grin*

Esther's story leaves me in awe. I marvel at her trust in God, and the faith she had to risk her life. So much beauty in this story! And so much yearning on my part, for such faith.

Angie - Yes! She had a faith worth immitating.
