How Much Are You Worth?

Patricia/NYC said...

I used to have these thoughts as well, Karen...but ever since I came across this verse, it serves as my "worth" reality check, if you will.

"For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. Out of all the people on the face of the earth, the Lord has chosen you to be His treasured possession."
-Deuteronomy 14:2

I think that sums up our worth PERFECTLY!! :)

Love you, girl, & thank you so much for your comforting emails & comments on my site...they mean the world to us at this time!

Thank you for joining me with my Monday morning coffee again this week.

Oh the firey darts of the enemy that try to take us down...Patricia/NYC has the perfect verse to extinguish this arrow.

Patricia - Yes, yes, YES!!! I'll keep that as a reality check, too.
You are so welcome. I am delighted to be HIS instrument. Love you!

KM - I love the idea of being with you during your coffee time. *grin* Maybe someday for REAL?
I am remembering correctly that you had some desire to visit Holland, MI, am I not? If you ever do, I am sooooo going out there to meet you.

I am reminded of my worth...not my deserving...but my worth when I stop to remember and live fully in the grace that surrounds the Cross. For the price He paid for my worth!

Thank You Jesus!

one thing I'm learning is that i'm not a very good mom if I don't realize that I have worth. I don't hold myself above my kids, but unless I realize that I am a precious child of God to take
care of, I'm not a good mama t omy kids! thanks for the reminder.

Nichole - That's just it. I deserved NOTHING, but Jesus gave me His EVERYTHING. I am so thankful!!!

Gianna - Yeah. What you said! *grin*

Oh Karen, I so relate to this message. It is so easy to forget that as we go about our days. Thank you for your post.

Have I told you lately that I love you? :)

I have found that my own thoughts about my worth can change so quickly and easily based on so many of the things you mentioned. One of the most encouraging things you do Karen, is help us (me) not to feel so alone in my thoughts.

I don't appreciate being reminded about the taxes but the rest of this was great! *grin*

Angie - Easy to forget, yes. Necessary to rememeber YES!!!

Edie - *grin* I love you, too!
Yeah. I wish I was more stable in my thoughts about my worth. Seems the smallest criticism or sense of "failure" can send me reeling. Oh, I am so thankful for God's patience with me!
Sales taxes are due in February, so I'm always a little "early" on the tax scene. LOL!

It is so easy for us to feel like failures when we measure success as the world defines it. I've been there done that and am doing my best to remember I am a precious child of God no matter what I'm going through. Thank you for such a soothing message. I needed to hear it right now!

Cee - I'm glad you came over when you needed to hear this one. God's timing is perfect, amen?
