"Maya, I have something to show you, but should we listen to Karen first??
vigorous nodding
I started your video.
*gasp*
"Hi, Karen!"
again *gasp!*
"okay, Karen! I'll see you!"

Oh, that made her day!
You know how I was wondering how I was going to keep my other superstars quiet while Maya listened to your devotional? Well, God answered the prayer that I didn't even mutter as a prayer. Maya got up before everyone else and I was able to have 10 minutes with her quietly enjoying the morning.
Cool. Thank you, Jesus!

maya's little sister just watched and was very excited that she's going to meet you, too! How fun! Thank you so much!

Gianna - The reason I said HI right at the beginning was so you wouldn't need to keep the other superstars quiet for too long. But I guess God was all over that one! *grin*
Simply cannot wait to meet you all!

Oooooh, Karen! This message is truly wonderful!! I have been praying for patience for such a long time & have often wondered why it's not coming as quickly as I want it (ha! how's THAT for the definition of impatient! lol!)...anyway, it finally dawned on me awhile ago that God will not wave His "magic wand" & sprinkle patience-dust over me...but what He WILL do is give me opportunities to PRACTICE having patience...He will give me those trying & challenging moments & hope that I will rely on Him to get through those moments before getting all crabby, impatient, etc. It has taken me a loooooooong time to "get this" concept & even though I get it, I still struggle with it emotionally & slip up more often than I care to admit.

But one thing I have experienced lately, is that the more faithful I am, the more I trust in Him, many other prayers ARE being answered...I might not be the most patient mom on the planet, but I know He is "refining me" daily, painful as it can be, He does know me & know what is best for me. I cannot lose sight of that!!

THANK YOU, my friend!!
Have a WONDERFUL day!
Patricia

Patricia - I saw a poster once that showed a woman praying. The caption was, "Lord, please grant me patience. And hurry!"
Yeah. We've all been there. *grin*
So glad you're seeing Him at work - in His perfect way, in His perfect time.
Love you!

This message is so wonderful, Karen. Yes, God needs what I need much more than I do. He knows what is best, for sure.

Oh, I forgot... Lucky Maya!!! But, I want to meet you too! And I hope that one day we will. Love and hugs!!

Angie - Thank you. Yes, He does!
Actually, I feel like the lucky one. I get to meet Maya and her whole family, plus another blogging friend (and maybe even ANOTHER one) when I go to MN in a couple of weeks to speak for a Moms' Night Out event.
If I ever get invited to speak near you... *grin*

What a precious video - I loved the message as well. We tend to think if God doesn't answer OUR way then He didn't answer!

Sometimes a 'no' means a better 'yes' later on.

Love to you -

WIll be praying for your March speaking engagement!

Beth - Funny, isnt' it, that we don't want to wait for a better YES?
Thanks for praying. Thanks so much!

Oh how good I am at the asking and speaking part...but as I hear His message through you today...I want to be good at the hearing, listening and receiving what He has for me part!

Thank you for this great message!

Amanda - Thank you. But I really can't take the credit. God is gracious, and He gets the glory!

Nichole - I understand you. It's so easy to ask and speak. But hearing and listening and receiving - now THAT's the good part!

Gianna -Yes! Heaven might come, too. You might know here as God's Girl in the blogosphere. I am really hoping she is able to make it!

Oh...to surrender our wills to His and trust that even when His answers come in different forms and not as we expect that we see the blessings as bread and not stones...to trust and know that God is good always even when our circumstances seem not to declare it...even when His answers come to make us holy and not happy. TRUSTING Him always and knowing that He changes not and ALWAYS ALWAYS seeks our good. Just like a parent who says no to candy for dinner...our knowledge is so limited that even when we think it is good and godly...God sees all and knows all and understands so much more. TRUST. Wow, girl. You got me going! Great post! Hope you stop by my place for a wifely message! Hugs!
