This Week's WORD

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13

These words - and the hope within them - were a balm to my soul. I pray they will be for you, too.

Have a wonderful weekend. And please join me on Monday as we begin a week-long Journey with Jesus. I'm looking forward to it!

Love to you,

Karen

Thanks for sharing this scripture! It's amazing how many scriptures I've come across lately, all with the theme of trust. Trusting God = peace. That's the bottom line - everything really IS going to be OK!

Jerri - Yes! The hope, the peace, the joy - they all encouraged me in that verse. But it was the as you trust in him that really grabbed me.
Bottom line!

Hope, Joy, Peace, and the power of the Holy Spirit...

Who couldn't use some of that? I'll take some.

Loved the meatloaf cake. I'm a meatloaf lover, so maybe I can make fans of my kids if I did it this way (but then again, it doesn't always go well for me in the kitchen!).

Blessed rest to you this weekend.

Leslie - I have so many 'favorite' verses! Guess I could just say the whole Bible is my favorite. *grin*

Elaine - Regarding the meat loaf cake, you can do it! The mashed potatoes are very forgiving. Just make lots of them so you can stick them anywhere that needs a little extra 'help.' LOL

Patricia - I'm picturing Jesus standing behind you, rubbing your shoulders. He's good like that!

This goes along just perfectly with my new paradigm shift in thinking and behavior. Thank and trust. I posted about it on Thankful Thursday- yesterday.

Love ya!

Trusting Him sometimes is just plain really scary, but when you remember to let Him fill you like only He can with His Joy and Peace, it is possible.
Thank you for reminding me to ask for that as I'm trusting Him.

Heidi - Sounds like a very good shift!

O Mom - Oh, is He ever talking to me about trust some more! Formulating another post about it in my head. Or a short series? I dunno. We'll see.
Anyway, scary as it may be, I am so glad I can trust HIM!

Shalom - Peace - Can you guess what Name I studied this week? *smile*
It was much needed too.

Thanks so much for your prayers. I just love you my friend. I can't wait for God to open that door for us to meet in person.

Until then...
Shalom
