I Found This...

...among papers which have been stored in the front part of my Bible.

A note from Elizabeth, written in 2003 when I was in the hospital for brain surgery. She was only in the first grade. (Hence, the spelling. *grin*)

Dear mom, I love you.
I mised you. You are my sunshine. You are the best mom. I hav had a good time. it is difrint with Dad.

What a precious memory - of a daughter's love, and God's faithfulness through a difficult time for us. I put that note right back where I found it, and will always keep it there. As a "stone of remembrance."

Do you have any tokens which remind you of God's faithfulness?

P.S. I'm back from Florida now. Had a great time! And I'll start responding to you in the comment section again, now that I'm home. *grin*

What is with the first 2 comments? Are we supposed to be speaking in code now? :)

O Mom - Those first two comments were spam junk. Unfortunately, the word verificication thing-y doesn't prevent all of it. *sigh*
I told the brain surgery story a couple of years ago. You can get the jist of it in my '100 Things' post if you want... http://surviving-motherhood.blogspot.com/2007/05/100-things.html
Hmmmm, do you keep the picture by Matthew 4:19?

Leslie - Yes. She IS a precious gift and friend. I am blessed!

What a treasure!! Hang on to it and when you are really dealing with her in the prime of her teen years you will be able to pull it out and reminisce.

That is a precious note and I know you will treasure it forever! It won't be too long and you will be getting notes like that from your GRANDyoungin's! I treasure them as well now. I find little notes from Mikaela everywhere after she goes home!

Hmm.. have to check out the brain surgery story. Bettin' there is a miracle attached to it!

Beth - I am honestly looking forward to GRANDyoungin's. I mean, not too soon, but the idea is fun. I want to be a grandma like my mother-in-law. She's the best!
Hope you enjoyed the brain surgery story.
