No Humans Were Hurt...

in the taking of these pictures.

Recently, when both Brian and I were out of the house, our kids got online and found a recipe for fake blood.

They made it.

And it looked real.

So they let their imaginations go, and staged some 'scary' scenes.

And they were so proud of their work, they took pictures!

And even though it's kind of gross, I can't resist sharing their, uh, creativity with you.
Just remember, No humans were hurt in the taking of these pictures.
(But I can't seem to find my corn syrup. And my red food coloring is mysteriously low...)

Oh, yes. My children are so creative. *sigh*

They do have great imaginations. And - it looks pretty real!

Definitely looks real! I have to keep this page away from my sons!!! This stuff makes me want to vomit...but the "all boy" in them would say, "OH COOL!!! Mom, can we do that???" LOL

Um...if I ever need fake blood for something, I know where to come for the recipe:)

Hugs! Heaven

Betty-Jo - Elizabeth took a Forensics Science elective in school this year, and Joshua has signed up for it next year. I'm thinking this fake blood could fit in with a course like that!

Mari - And with all that corn syrup in it, I bet it tastes good, too. LOL!

Heaven - Just Google 'Fake Blood Recipe' and you'll find everything you need. *grin*

Gianna - Yes, my friend. This - and so much more!

Kelly - They sure do!

Debby Ann - That's the beauty of it. I was gone for the weekend when they did this, so Brian is the one who came home to see it.
True, I did find some 'dried blood' on the kitchen floor that they'd missed in the clean-up job. But that wasn't a big deal.
*grin*

You are a brave Mom, I would have freaked out. I don't really know why, I just sense I would have. Again such a good reminder from you about parenting....sometimes they are just being good and creative!

Wow!! Had I come home to that I would definitely have passed out!! lol!! I pass out when Kiara gets a nosebleed...seriously!!!

Very creative!! I'm thinking they will win some prizes for best costume next Halloween! ;)

Have a great weekend!!

O Mom - Yes. They enjoyed it so much - it really would have been a shame to come down on them for making a mess. (And using up all my corn syrup.)

Patricia - Nosebleeds give me the ickies, too.
And they did mention something about being inspired for Halloween. That ought to be interesting. LOL

Ahhh, I would FREAK! My kids would love this though - too funny. How creative of them.

Finally answering your comment on my blog - you said you're Lansing way, right? No, I rarely get that way ever. But any time you're in the area, sure - I'd be game for a meeting :)

Have a great weekend!

That's hilarious! I'm surprised my boys haven't tried that. Creative kids - fun, interesting, but sometimes draining for Mom!
