Our Journey with Jesus: Good Friday

It's Good Friday.
Today we're remembering Jesus' death on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.
O, praise Him!
Let's pause again and reflect on what God has done for us. We could not atone for our sin. Only the blood of Jesus could do that for us.
He was willing.
Jesus laid down His life for you and me.
And we are washed white as snow. Only by the blood of Jesus.

BUT, the crucifixion is not the end of the story.

He is Risen, friends. He is Risen, indeed!

May the JOY of the risen Lord fill you as you celebrate Resurrection Sunday!
Have a blessed weekend. I'll see you back here Monday.

He is risen, indeed! This movie moved me like no other...wow. It's amazing what a little visual aid will do for me.

Oh, I wanted you to know that I linked to you yesterday from my post on our April Fool's Day menu. Thanks again for the ideas! The day was a hit!

Chel - Yes, I thought it was a great movie. So many times I just didn't want to look, but Jesus endured it FOR REAL. Seeing the re-enactment made it a little more real for me. And a lot more thankful!

Gianna - Sunday IS coming. But it would be nothing without Friday. Thank You, Jesus, for being obedient to Friday!

Thank you for helping us draw closer to Him this week. In the midst of all my business this week He hasn't left my mind. I am so honored to know Him.
Thank you Jesus.
Have a blessed weekend Karen.

This movie was so real and true to life it really brings it home, but I have such a hard time watching it. I love my Savior. How shallow that sounds. I'm so glad it didn't end there!

Have a wonderful celebration of the Risen Christ!

O Mom - I love that He can make Himself known - even in the midst of all our 'stuff.' Blessings to you!

Edie - It was hard to watch, I agree. But each time I see it, I become more aware of what Jesus did for me. It's so much more real than a 'sanitary' picture.
"The Passion" is coming to us today from Netflix and we're going to watch it as a family. (My kids' choice!) I am praying God will use it to make His love and sacrifice even more real to my kids.

Karen,

Beautiful message...my heart is so overjoyed and overwhelmed in the incredible and amazing LOVE AND GRACE that GOD the Father and our LORD Jesus has shown to us. Thoughts of the cross keeps my heart bowed...

Love you and yes indeed He is Risen as He said!!! GLORY!!
