Well, that was fun!
Tuesday morning there was a message on my Facebook page, inviting me to an impromptu get-together of some high school friends. I saw friends I hadn't seen in 20 years.
I mentioned a couple of months ago about a time when I was seventeen years old and I was out with friends without calling my mom. She was really upset because she didn't know where I was. And God reminded me of that moment - just in time for me to extend grace to Joshua for not calling me when he was at a friend's house. Remember that post?
Well, the friends I was with that night - Mike and Stacy - are with me in the back row of this picture. (And I didn't call my mom to tell her where I was Tuesday, either. But she doesn't worry about my whereabouts anymore. *grin*)
I had a very enjoyable evening seeing old friends Tuesday. Especially Mike - he lives in California now and I did not expect to see him there! And am now sooooo looking forward to my 20th high school class reunion which is coming up Saturday.
Whew! I am not the same person I was 20 years ago. Praying my classmates will see Jesus in me on Saturday!

I will pray the same.
I actually skipped my 20th and now I wish I hadn't. But I was ashamed. Most of them had kids, some grown and I hadn't even had a baby yet. It was just too painful to contemplate.
Now of course, I have Ginny, but at the time....I was a coward.
Karen,
As I viewed the beautiful photo and began to read your message what entered into my thoughts was, "I wonder if they all know the Lord now as Karen does?" I pray so. Then I reached the end of your message and where you indicated you are praying that your classmates will see Jesus in you at the reunion. That too is my prayer for you and that they will openly speak of Him if they know Him and those who don't I pray they will be drawn to His presence in you and inquire of you as to Who has put the joy in your heart, the peace on your face. Who has been the binding glue in your family and so on and that would be your opportunity to share HIM...
Awesome!
Enjoy!!
Love you and I said a prayer...
Reunions are so fun. I am heading toward my 30 year reunion in a few years. That makes me officially OLD. I bet those folks will absolutely see Jesus in you. We sure do.

Looks like fun! 'Hope you have a great time at the reunion. You'll radiant with HIM, I'm sure.

They have no choice but to see Jesus in you Karen; you do a very good job at hiding yourself so that He can be seen!
smooches,
Larie
Karen,
I pray they see Jesus in you, too!!
Have fun!!
