When You Quake

The world IS shaking around me with my new friend's dx of breast cancer, my college roommate's brother having a heartattack and dying at age 32, a reprimand from my neighbor about how I let my kids wander all over his yard and it's not okay, and a very blah mother's day yesterday. Some of those things seem so petty but when I add them all together, I am feeling horrible. God may be holding the pillars firm, but I don't feel like the earth will stop shaking.

Gianna, may I pray for you now?

Father, I know You see Gianna. I know You know what she’s going through, how her heart hurts, and what she fears. I know You know her world is shaking, and she feels like it won’t stop. So I am asking You to wrap Your mighty arms tightly around her. Will You let her feel Your presence and know with certainty that You are going to see her through this time? Please calm her heart and speak tenderly to her. Please fill her with all joy and peace as she trusts in You, that she may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. I’m asking it all in the wonderful, powerful, beautiful, matchless Name of JESUS. Amen and amen!

Karen, I notice when I try to lean on my own efforts as my world shakes,I tend to make matters worse. Thank you for this awesome video devotion, to Remember to lean on God, He knows how to handle the earthquakes of life and will handle it better than I can, amen!

Gianna, I'm going to say a prayer for you too.
